I stayed home like the lazy slacker I am this weekend. I was supposed to make the 5 hour trip home, followed by a 5 hour round trip side jaunt with the extended family to a family gathering, further followed by the 5 hour trip back to my happy little domain in Tejas.
Ma, poor sweet Ma, who only ever wanted us to all be happy - and show up for every family gathering she can possibly sign us up for... she did not see a problem with me spending 5 hours in my car driving on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This is the woman who needs a major strategic plan and a week's notice to go to the mall, 15 minutes from her house. But she doesn't see why I wouldn't be happy to hop in the car and spend 15 hours out of 48, driving.
Fortunately, nature reached out and jack-slapped me with the heaviest period a girl has ever survived to tell about. My mom doesn't understand not wanting to drive like a trucker all weekend, but she does understand the word "hemorrhage".
Too much information, you say? hehe
Well listen, don't worry about me, Gentle Reader. I am not sick or anything... my body just prefers to get through the unpleasantness in a rapid and expedient manner, so I do nearly the whole period thing all in one crazy day-or-two time span. I do not lollygag around with it. It's fast, furious, and overwith quickly!
In other news you really don't need to know... it was warm and muggy this morning when I left my house and in a span of about 15 minutes, the temperature dropped about 15 degrees! I am glad I had a coat in the car! It's actually too cool outside right now. I'm hungry, it's lunchtime, and it's rainy and cold out. I'm debating going out there to forage for food. I'm certainly not eating snack machine junk for lunch.
I think I'll go see what I can find.
