Apparently, I have the swine flu.
Something terrible has been going around and everyone at work was getting sick. I didn't expect to actually come down with anything, because I haven't been sick like that in a long time. A couple days ago I woke up with a scratchy throat and by mid-afternoon, I felt like I'd been run over by a steam roller. I just crashed and burned. Next day I went to work sick, but today I was unable to go through the motions. I had such aches last night that it kept me awake. For some reason, my elbow was giving me bloody hell all night long. Today I have this cough and I've had a pounding headache for 2 days. I read about the swine flu and my symptoms match, but really, I don't think it's that severe. We'll see how I feel tomorrow. I *think* I am on the mend, but this cough is threatening to be a drawn out ordeal. I hope I still have some Halls cough drops. Mr. Philly made use of most of mine when he was here. That was my just-in-case-I-get-sick cough drops. Here I am sick and coughing and I have no stash of feel better meds. I think I do have a few cough drops and that will get me through the night. I plan to go to work tomorrow. I hate to call in sick. I always feel kind of guilty, no matter how sick I really am.
Speaking of sick.. I really don't feel like sitting here anymore.
