Well, would you look at that? Another year has happened. Time flies. Seriously, there's not enough hours in the day to do everything I think of doing.
Life is good. I am working at home and it is still the very bomb-diggity. I cannot imagine the grief my bosses would have to attempt to heap on me for me to ever decide to resign. I love my job. I now have the ability to work from my laptop, whereas I used to be pinned down to my home office. Thanks to this work laptop, I'm mobile now and can work from any place that has a good internet connection. This makes it possible for me to go anywhere and stay as long as I want. I cannot express how liberating that is. I don't have to worry about the rigid rules my company has about taking time off around Christmas. These freedoms make me very happy and I never want to go back to a job in an office building. Maybe that will change someday, but not in the foreseeable future.
I cannot believe I have now spent 2 Christmases in my new house. I closed on it at the end of July in 2012, and the year and a half since then have shot by like a greased pig on a hot slide. I just made that up, but I do think a greased pig on a hot slide would move very fast.
I'm going to try to pick back up on this blogging thing. I've been sort of MIA for too long.
Happy New Year!
