As I was driving back from Lafayette, the weather was absolutely treacherous and along the side of the road, I saw a big fat beaver. I wonder if the rain had anything to do with this beaver being out and about. You know, they are water dwelling critters. Swamp dwellers at least. All of south Louisiana is a swamp.
So anyways... I saw this big brown beaver. Not at all like the time Me and Myra went to the spa in Hot Springs and saw 2 big brown beavers. This was a toothy mammal with a flattened leathery tail.
I'm afraid it had assumed room temperature. Kicked the bucket, bought the farm, got off at the last stop, went on to its reward, passed on, shuffled off this mortal coil, cashed in the big lottery ticket, met its maker, ceased to be. You get the point.
Big fat beaver.
Quite tragic with that look of stunned surprise on it's hairy little face. Beavers are pretty big you know. They are quite hefty. You would expect them to be the size of a cat or something, but they are more like a hairy otter.
I'm going to have so many vulgar sounding googles in a few days.
