I am home for a week. This is swell. I can get down to the really important things in life. Y'know... like watching Dr. Phil and Oprah.
I feel really good about life in general. Everything is just loverly. I was having a fun day with the Binkster and feeling so great. Things have changed in her life too lately. She got rid of Mr. Wrong back before Christmas and she seems to have found herself a really good somebody. She used to have some health problems which have resolved since she got 225 pounds of stress out of her life. I got away from my stressful job and found a way to do what I really want to do, my sister got out of a marriage and a job that wasn't really working out for her, and she has a national quality talent that is being undersold in a very small market. I'm thinking that somehow, someway, we are going to find a way to market her. I could probably help her in that respect. I'm good at marketing myself, so I could probably market her too.
I'm taking a week off to do a few things I haven't had time to tend to, due to always being out of town. My agenda will include the following:
This week I shall rearrange my bedroom, get rid of stuff, get new ink for my printer, make new business cards, check on a possible client, try to line up an audit, go to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned and have a check up to look for cavities, have an exterminator out, because it's that time of the year and the bugs are trying to move in with us, watch a lot of TV, cook a few things, be a domestic goddess, find out what my main client wants me to do next. I've got a semi-slacking week coming up.
Myra and I are probably going to Hot Springs real soon-like. Most likely the first week in June. Memorial Day is probably booked up. But then, we don't have to stick to the weekend, necessarily. It would be cool to go during the week. We have to get Grandma to watch the chillins.
Speaking of the chillins... yesterday there was a water bug, which is basically a humongous cockroach, and it was running around in the bathroom while Myra was trying to get the 2 year old's hair fixed. Myra said "Look out, there's a water bug". This caused the baby to flip out, because for some reason, she is terrified of bugs. She was backing up and yelling and not hearing Myra saying "Don't back up, it's behind you". So she backed up and she stepped right on it. I heard her yell "Where IS IT????" and Myra said "IT'S UNDER YOUR FOOT!" This was immediately followed by the loudest, longest, most blood curdling scream I've ever heard. The kid freaked completely out and then she just boo-hooed for a while. She was thoroughly undone. I don't know why she is so scared of bugs. Elvis Jr. may have had a little something to do with it though.
The 2 year old is a classic girl in every way. She likes to have her nails painted. All 20 of them. Loves shoes. She's a full time fashionista. She is horrified of bugs. She is very opinionated and can argue like nobody's business. And if you say that to her, she will argue with you about that, too.
Bink and I went to see Shrek 2 today. It was really really reeeeeeeally good. That darned Puss in Boots is entirely too cute. The whole thing was just great. I'm not real big on kid's movies, but I'm tellin ya, this was a good movie. I'd see it again. And I probably will. Myra and the kids need to go see it.
What about the dunkey?
