WAKE THE KIDS,(not you, Myra)CALL THE NEIGHBORS, NOTIFY THE AUTHORITIES...
I've been screwed and they didn't even buy me dinner first. Get a big honkin load of this:
Last week I asked for a day off and was denied because I "only" had 28 vacation hours saved up. All I was asking for was 8 of those hours, so I did not follow the logic, but that is all beside the point.
The important thing to note here is that I ~HAD~ 28 hours of vacation time a week ago, and now they tell me I am 10 hours in the hole for vacation time! I have negative 10.45 or some shit. I'd have to wait about 6 weeks to get back up to ZERO!
Of course, this is bullshit. For one thing, they deducted the vacation hours for the day I asked for but didn't get to take off!!! I got that credited back today. THEN, they have deducted 18 hours off my vacation time in one pay period during a time I didn't take any time off at all. It's possible I was sick, but if that's the case, they took my vacation time instead of my sick time and that's not right.
Somebody is trying to make me go postal. Somebody has gone all willy nilly up in the human resources office. I assure you, this shall be corrected. I've only ever taken 3 or 4 days off since I started working there.
I know it's a boring topic. Why do jobs have to exist?? Damn that Adam and Eve. Always wanting the forbidden apple. They couldn't make do with the orange tree, or a freakin nanner. No, they had to have the forbidden apple.
Thanks a million, guys. Now we all have to work and women have to suffer in childbirth! Way to go.
I'd like to write some entries in which I am not ranting about hating my job. That would be refreshing. I really need to win the lottery.
On the upside, I did get a massage today. I love my massage therapist. I'm going to get a 2 hour massage soon. She does deep tissue work one week and then relaxation the next. The relaxation stuff is what feels great. The deep tissue stuff hurts like a bitch, but you feel better later. Today was relaxation. One time I got up from there and was totally off balance. It took me awhile to get stable enough to get dressed and leave. I was just dizzy and off kilter for a bit.
It's amazing what effect massage can have on a body. Everybody needs it. Insurance should cover it. It is relatively low cost when you compare it to a lot of treatments people pay doctors for to get rid of chronic pain.
I'm rambling incoherently.
Goodnight, little Buckaroos.
