I got robbed.
Robbed of a good night's sleep. I accidentally fell asleep on top of my covers with the TV on, so I slept lightly, constantly waking up just enough to see that the TV was still going and I was not quite warm enough. Never waking up quite enough to get under the covers and turn off the TV.
I hate when that happens.
Then I woke up at 6:37 am like some kind of a crazed earlybird. I refused to accept this early morning business, so I got in bed and tried for a lonnnng time to go back to sleep. I dozed off for just a little while and then Abby had to go outside so I was up again.
I want some coffee, but I don't want to go out to my car, where all my stuff is. I left my suitcase in the car and I have some packets of coffee from the hotel in there. They are perfect for my little coffee maker. I like to grind the beans myself and have hazelnut coffee, but I'm all outta hazelnut beans right now, so I have to resort to the ever-tasty hotel coffee. Actually, that coffee is really good. That's why I bring it home. I don't usually make coffee while I'm there, but I take it home when I leave if I know we're out of coffee here. This week, they left me a half a dozen packets of decaf, because they've noticed I use that one. I'm trying to avoid caffeine because too much of it gives me heart palpitations. No fun at all.
I've found that a decaf capuccino at Books-a-million tastes just as good as a regular.
I have so much work to do around the house that I don't want to do. It's time for spring cleaning. Maybe the mood will overtake me later today. I won't be holding my breath for that though. It ain't all that likely. Possible, but not likely.
I'm going to bite the bullet and go out to my car for the coffee packets. That's it. My resolve has engaged and there's no stopping me now. Even if my chatty, nosy neighbor is out there... I'm going.
Gots to have that coffee.
I'll bet Dan would like some coffee right about now. He's been up all night on the 24 hour comics day ordeal and I think he's on the tail end of it right now. He should be entering a state of delirium at any moment. On second thought, he probably sucked up enough coffee during the night to float a small yacht. So maybe he wouldn't like some coffee. I'm sure he'd like some sleep though. Nighty night Dan... wherever you are.
If he drank as much coffee as I imagine, he might be twitching and shaking in his sleep.
And now... back to my quest for coffee...
PS: I tried to link here - his-holiness - but I couldn't get it to work.
