Have you ever hit your hip on a doorknob really hard and it doesn't hurt at first, but then you are overcome with blinding pain?
Let's just say that if there is a door knob in any given room, my ass or hip will find it. It's just a sad fact of life for me.
I'm sick today. I've been bragging all winter about the healing properties of "Airborn", the effervescent wonder that stops illness in it's tracks and boosts the immune system. Now I am befallen with an illness too nasty to be fixed by the fix-all. I'm still taking the airborn though, hoping the Zinc in it will shorten my misery.
My throat is so sore that it woke me up at about 6 am. It's a sad state of affairs when you feel too hurty to sleep. I've been sneezing and coughing and now I have the sore throat and headachey stuff going on. I must go to work tomorrow, since they are holding my paycheck from Friday when I was off.
I might just take a long weekend next week too. I have so much PTO built up. I think if I can finish all my financial business for my 2 Shreveport facilities by Thursday afternoon, I will stay my ass home on Fridays.
Here's how productive I've been this weekend: I had my DVR cable box all taped up with shows, because I record Dr. Phil and Oprah every day. (Not a word, haters) And I also record ER, and Survivor and various other shows. Last week I missed a bunch of stuff, because my DVR was full. This weekend I have watched or deleted everything I had recorded, except for about 5 things. I am confidant that I can get it ALL watched or deleted today. Why not? I'm too sick to do anything but lay around and watch TV. How pitiful.
Wish me luck, for I am going to work whether I'm sick or not tomorrow. This has potential to suck mightily.
