I have a couple of funny things to tell about Miss Wibby Woo. It is no secret that I derive great pleasure from antagonizing the children. I do it in all manner of subtle and not-so-subtle ways.
To get the full flavor of this anecdote, you have to know a couple of things: First, Wibby Woo is a big fan of Snow White and the movie is practically sacred in her world. Secondly, note that I frequently tell her to "shut your piehole", which, in itself usually starts a ruckus.
Last night, I was in the kitchen, making her dinner and she was chatting it up in high gear. I started singing this little song in the tune of the dwarf song from Snow White that goes "Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to work I go"
but I sang:
"Pie-hole, Pie hole, it's off to work I go"
Wibby made a face like Mr. Spacely makes when he fires George accompanied by a "grrrrrrrrr" sound. Maybe you had to be there. But it was very funny.
She stays right with me around the house a lot. When I was packing my bags for my weekly trip, she picked up a pair of my underwear and said "What's this?" I said "That's my panties". She said "Panties? .....uh.... PURPLE panties?" She picked up a bra and said "Is this a bra?" I said "Yes" and she said "Why is this bra red, Mimi?" In my great wisdom I said "Because that's what color it is." Not satisfied with that, she said "Why do you have panties and bras that are purple and red?"
"Because I like purple and red."
She is 3 1/2 years old. Prime question-asking time. She has Dora the Explorer all over her drawz and she thinks my purple undies are unusual.
